I am an applied scientist in Amazon Lab126. Before joining Amazon, I received my Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Under the supervision of Prof. Kwang-Ting (Tim) Cheng, my Ph.D. research focused on visual perception and camera planning for filming human motion videos. I developed an autonomous drone cinematography system, which enabled the drone to imitate professional filming styles by watching demonstration videos. I received my M.S. and B.S. degrees from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in 2014 and 2011, respectively. My work during BUPT can be seen here.
